Taqwaa of Allah (From the teachings of the Prophet)

The Prophet's companion Ibn al-'Irbad ibn Sariyah, may Allah be pleased with him said: "The messenger of Allah gave us an admonition by which our hearts became frightened and our eyes flowed with tears, so we said to him: "O messenger of Allah, this sounds like a farewell admonition, so advice us."
The prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him said:
"I advise you to have taqwa of Allah, [be mindful of Allah], and to hear and obey even if a slave is given command over you. Whoever of you lives after me will see many disagreements [changes will be introduced in the application of the deen], so you must take hold of my sunnah, and the sunnah of the rightly guided khalifs who follow the right way. Bite on it with your molar teeth [held tight to it]. And beware of matters that are newly introduced [in your religion], for each of these newly introduced matters is an innovation [bid'ah]. And each innovation in religion is straying from the straight path, and every straying is in Hell-Fire."
Narrated by abu dawood and al-Tirmidhee,who said 'it is a sound authentic hadith'.

Assalamu Alaykum
Jazaki Allahu khayran for this reminder. What I understand from this Hadith that the slave is on the right path, and as long as he is on the right path we should take his command. As we can witness at the present time people take the words from others, because they are scholars, therefore they should know better, and they don't apply logic. While if an ordinary person who has the knowledge, but not famous, will be ignored. Believing in tawheed (the oneness of Allah) and avoiding shirk in all its forms and shapes is a natural instinct and there is no room for compromising. There is no doubt that the Fitan (temptations) are increasing and those who have a strong belief are trying to keep the purity of the soul; which has the natural instinct of tawheed, and elevate it's status to a higher level are not favourable in an environment full of corruptions and temptations. Hence, the believer feels an outsider and this could be so hard and painful, when we are in pain we bite on our molar teethes, on other hadith the Prophet (peace be upon him) describe it as holding on a burning charcoal. May Allah keep us all on His right path and protect us from all temptations. Ameen
